Transaction tax on your orders

🧾 Taxes & Duties on GumLiz Orders

GumLiz may be required to collect and remit taxes on certain orders depending on the shipping destination and local tax laws. If tax applies to your order, it will be calculated and displayed during checkout before you confirm payment.

We do not process taxes manually, but we comply with applicable marketplace facilitator and import tax regulations in regions where such laws apply.

🌍 Regions Where Tax May Apply

You may see tax applied to your order if it is shipped to or within one of the following regions:

  • United States (Marketplace Facilitator Tax, Colorado Delivery Fee)

  • Canada (Federal, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec MPF laws)

  • European Union (VAT on eCommerce)

  • France (High-Value Goods VAT)

  • Australia (10% GST on items ≤ 1,000 AUD)

  • Singapore (9% GST on low-value imports)

  • Switzerland (Swiss VAT starting 2025)

  • New Zealand (15% GST on items ≤ 1,000 NZD)

Taxes, if applicable, are automatically calculated based on your shipping location, item value, and current legislation.

📩 Why Tax Appears at Checkout

GumLiz follows marketplace tax regulations in multiple countries. These laws require marketplaces like ours to collect tax on behalf of third-party sellers, depending on your shipping address.

Even if you’re located in a tax-free region, you may still see estimated tax if your order is shipped to a region with active tax rules.

💼 Tax-Exempt Purchases

If you’re eligible for tax exemption (e.g. nonprofit, business resale, education sector), you can submit your tax certificate to us before placing an order.

📧 Send your documentation to [email protected], including:

  • The email you use for purchasing on GumLiz

  • Your business/entity name and exemption reason

  • A valid exemption certificate (PDF or image)

Once approved, tax exemption will be applied to qualifying orders placed under that email and shipping region.
