How to improve your completion rate

Understanding Order Completion Rate on GumLiz

Order completion rate is a key measure of seller performance on GumLiz. It reflects how reliably sellers fulfill orders without cancellations or returns.

How the completion rate is calculated

Completion Rate = (Shipped Orders – Canceled Orders – Returned Orders) / Total Orders

Example:
If you received 100 orders, canceled 2, and 2 were returned, your completion rate would be:
(100 – 2 – 2) / 100 = 96%

GumLiz recommends maintaining a minimum completion rate of 90%. Sellers with lower performance may be reviewed or restricted.

New Sellers

If you’re just getting started and haven’t received any orders, your completion rate will display as 0%. This is normal and will automatically update as soon as you process your first few orders. Ratings adjust twice a month, on the 1st and 15th.

Why a High Completion Rate Matters

A higher completion rate gives buyers confidence and increases your chances of making more sales. It reflects a professional, trustworthy seller experience.

How to Track Your Completion Rate

To view your current completion rate:

  • Sign in to your GumLiz seller account.

  • Go to My Account and check Performance Metrics.

How to Avoid Cancellations and Returns

  • Keep your inventory accurate: If you sell an item elsewhere, make sure to remove it from GumLiz.

  • Avoid pricing errors: Double-check listings before publishing.

  • Use clear, accurate descriptions: This reduces “not as described” returns.

  • Monitor orders daily: Orders expire if not processed within 4 days.

  • Use the vacation mode when you’re away to prevent missed orders.

Managing Inventory

We recommend:

  • Removing outdated or misplaced listings.

  • Backing up your inventory regularly.

  • Not reusing listing IDs.

  • Contacting our support team for advice on bulk uploads or updates.

If you sell both online and offline (e.g., bookstore or social media), consider managing separate inventories to reduce order conflicts.

Shipping Accuracy

To avoid return requests and negative experiences:

  • Set realistic delivery times.

  • Ensure your shipping rates cover real costs.

  • Use the Extra Charges feature for heavy or oversized items.
