Cookies Policy
Cookies Notice
We use cookies to make our websites more user-friendly. Find out about the main types of cookies we use, and what we use them for.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of text which are downloaded to your device, for example, when you visit a website. Cookies are useful because they allow Gumliz to better understand our customers so that we can provide a more focused user experience. Using the knowledge of your previous visits to our website, Gumliz can enhance subsequent visits by tailoring our content to match your preferences. You can find more general information about cookies at: www.allaboutcookies.org.
When we mention “cookies”, we also mean other technologies such as web beacons and pixels that collect information in a similar way to cookies on websites or emails. When we mention “websites”, we also include mobile applications and emails.
How do we use cookies?
We use cookies principally because we want to make our websites and mobile applications user-friendly, and we are interested in anonymous user behavior. Generally, our cookies don’t store sensitive or personally identifiable information such as your name, address, or credit card details.
In the unlikely event that our websites use cookies to store personal information about you, Gumliz encrypts that data to prevent unauthorized access.
Gumliz uses two main categories of cookies:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Optional Cookies
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to enable you to use the features of our services and websites, such as delivering content, setting privacy preferences, logging in, making payments, or filling in forms. Without these cookies, our services cannot be provided, so you cannot opt out of them.
2. Optional Cookies
Performance Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website — for example, which pages are visited most often — and allow you to retain items in your shopping cart between visits. They may also indicate which email or web page you clicked through from to reach our site, and whether you opened our email.
Some are analytics cookies, set using third-party web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Universal Analytics, which help us monitor website traffic. These may summarize data such as visitor age ranges, gender, or interests — but not link that data to any individual.
We will not pass this data to third parties in a way that personally identifies visitors. However, we may combine this cookie data with personally identifiable data you provide (e.g., when submitting a form or leaving items in your cart) to ensure more relevant communication.
We may also use this data to highlight Gumliz products or services we believe may interest you, or to contact you if you appear to be having trouble completing an order.
We may use third-party cookies during e-commerce transactions to help prevent fraud.
Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow the website to remember your preferences (such as your username, language, or region) and provide enhanced features. They may also support services like playing videos or commenting on a blog. These cookies do not track your activity on other websites and may be anonymized.
Behaviorally Targeted Advertising Cookies
These cookies deliver ads more relevant to you and your interests. They also limit the number of times you see an ad and help measure campaign performance.
These cookies remember your visit and use that information to show tailored advertising on other websites.
Cookies are placed by advertising networks. Our online advertising via this method includes the AdChoices icon — click it to learn more and opt out of targeted advertising. Visit AdChoices for more.
Third-Party Cookies and Social Networks
If you click a hyperlink from Gumliz to a third-party site (e.g., sharing content via social media), cookies may be set by that third-party. These sites have their own privacy and cookie policies, which Gumliz does not control. Please check their policies directly.
Do we track visitors and users?
Our emails may contain a “web beacon pixel” to tell us if they’ve been opened and whether links were clicked.
We may use this information to assess which emails are most interesting, or to stop sending emails to inactive recipients.
The pixel is deleted when you delete the email. To avoid downloading it, read emails in plain text or with images disabled.
We use Pardot cookies to track visitor behavior such as page views and time on site, which helps us improve performance.
Personal information is stored in Pardot/Salesforce only when you fill out a form (e.g., event registration, contact forms, or email subscriptions).
DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY DATA (U.S. Customers)
When you visit Gumliz websites and services, we may collect personal data related to you, your interests, or your device. This may be used for personalized experiences. If this data is shared with third parties, it may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under state laws.
We extend the right to opt out of this to all U.S. customers, regardless of state.
You can opt out of the “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” of your personal data by turning off all non-essential cookies via our Cookie Preferences Management Tool.
