What happens if there’s an issue with my order?
At Gumliz, we care about your experience — but we also understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. If something’s wrong with your order, such as:
Damaged books
Incorrect books
Books not in the condition described
Lost books or books not received
…please don’t hesitate to contact us.
When you purchase a book from a Gumliz seller, you’ll have 6 hours after delivery to report any issues before we release payment to the seller. This helps us better support you and resolve problems fairly. You can report an issue from the order details page in your account or by clicking the order link in your confirmation email. If you need help with this, just email us at: [email protected].
Even if more than 6 hours have passed, we’re still happy to look into the issue and try to help. In some cases, we may ask for photos of the book or packaging, so we can better understand what happened. Our goal is always to find a reasonable and fair resolution for everyone involved.
Are sellers protected?
Yes — at Gumliz, we also look out for our sellers. If an order is lost or damaged in transit, and it was shipped and packaged in a reasonable way, we’ll still issue your payout. (Reused packaging is totally fine — just make sure it’s suitable for mailing, not something like a cereal or shoe box.)
We simply ask that you list your books accurately, pack them securely, and approach every transaction with fairness and good intent. Learn more about our community expectations.
If a buyer reports an issue, your earnings may be placed on hold while we review the situation. If that happens, we’ll reach out directly. No need to worry — we value our sellers and aim to find a fair outcome for everyone.
Can I return a book?
Since our sellers are individual people across the country — not traditional businesses — Gumliz does not have a standard return policy. That said, if you’re not satisfied with your order, please reach out. We’re happy to contact the seller on your behalf to ask about a possible return, or we’ll look into other options — including a potential return to our warehouse.
